6th Annual Tourism Research Seminar


The Department of Tourism signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with several universities to collaborate on tourism research and enhance research capacity within the sector. In an effort to ensure continued sector engagements and information sharing on tourism research, the Department will host the 6th annual Tourism Research Seminar. 

The Tourism Research Seminar aims to create an interactive platform for the universities to share the research findings and for the Department to e the research recommendations to a wider tourism audience. The Tourism Research Seminar will be held as follows:

TIME: 08h00 – 15h00
LOCATION:  University of Johannesburg, School of Tourism and Hospitality, 57 Bunting Road, Auckland Park

In addition, a research poster exhibition will be held at the Seminar for postgraduate students receiving financial support from the Department under the MoUs to showcase their research work and obtain valuable feedback from sector practitioners and stakeholders.
