Minister Tokozile Xasa will host the annual Women in Tourism (WiT) Conference in Port Elizabeth themed: "Sustainable Tourism: A Tool for Radical Socio-Economic Development for Women".
The Women in Tourism (WiT) aims to elevate women representation in the sector through the 30in5 programme which advocates for the attainment of a 30% target for women at executive level within the next five years.
As the country observes 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children under the theme: "Count Me In: Together Moving a Non-Violent South Africa Forward", women in tourism will add their voice in calling for an equitable industry that promotes radical socio-economic transformation.
