​​​The Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Drakenstein Local Municipality will host a stakeholder engagement on the state of tourism in the area.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Fish Mahlalela and the executives of the Drakenstein Local Municipality will lead the discussions that will highlight the significance of government initiatives in uplifting communities, and in creating robust local economies that create sustainable opportunities for all.

The stakeholder engagement takes place as the Department prepares to participate in the District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo on 19 May 2023 in the Western Cape Province. This public participation platform will offer the community an opportunity to converse with government to address the hurdles that are impeding progress and economic growth in various sectors.
