The Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Lejweleputswa District Municipality will host a stakeholder engagement on the state of tourism in the area.   

Led by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Fish Mahlalela, and the executives of the local municipalities within the Lejweleputswa District Municipality, the discussions will highlight the significance of government initiatives in uplifting communities, creating robust local tourism economies, and sustainable opportunities for all.  

The stakeholder engagement takes place as the Department prepares to participate in the District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo on 07 December 2023 in the Free State Province. This public participation platform will offer the community an opportunity to converse with all three spheres of government to address the hurdles that are impeding progress and economic growth in various sectors and communities.
