Tourism Minister reignites tourism in the Cape Winelands

Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane invites members of the media for a stakeholder engagement in Franschoek in the Western Cape Province on 18 March 2021.

The Minister will engage with stakeholders to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism businesses in the area. She will also visit various tourist attractions to encourage the sector to comply with regulations as we set the country on a recovery trajectory and position ourselves as a unique destination of choice.

The activation will offer media an opportunity to experience and gain insight about the offerings in the Stellenbosch Municipality and surrounding areas and to facilitate informed reporting on the impact of COVID-19 and recovery interventions to reignite the tourism sector.

Members of the media are invited to join the Minister at the Cape Winelands district from 08:00 to 17:00 on Thursday 18 March 2021.
