Tourism growth and development to take centre stage during Minister Hanekom’s visit to Limpopo

Issues pertaining to tourism development and growth in Limpopo will come to the fore when the Minister of Tourism, Mr Derek Hanekom, visits the province to meet and engage with MEC for Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET), Mr Seaparo Sekoati.

Minister Hanekom’s visit to Limpopo will include a tour of key tourism destinations and establishments, wherein he will engage with business owners and community leaders.

Members of the media are invited to participate in the tour as follows:

Day 1: 29 January 2015
Tiveka Game Lodge: engagement with MEC of Tourism and Local Tourism stakeholders
Focus: Niche Tourism – Hunting and Golf Tourism   [Time: 12h30 -14h00]

Nehakwe Community Lodge: SRI funded Community Lodge
Focus: Community engagement including traditional leaders  [Time: 14h00 -18h00]

Karibu Lodge: ETEYA Winner
Focus: Transformation and SMME empowerment   [Time: 18h00 -18h30]

Day 2: 30 January 2015
Marula Festival: Minister to address the gathering
Focal theme: Launch of the Marula Festival    [Time: 19h00 – 20h00]
