The Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Fish Mahlalela will officially open the 2023 National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) on 29 September 2023 at the Joburg Expo Centre in Nasrec – Gauteng province. 

The youth expo is held annually and draws in thousands of learners and educators from across the country to engage directly with tourism curricula experts and sector stakeholders at the three-day showcase of tourism vocations and opportunities. 

Themed “Tourism Investments for People, Planet and Prosperity,” the event will take place from 29 September till 01 October 2023 highlighting the significance of investments in creating opportunities that empower communities, conserve and sustain the environment, whilst driving innovation and prosperity for all. 

The NTCE  is a collaborative effort between the Department of Tourism (DT), the Culture Arts, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Education Training Authority (CATHSSETA), the Gauteng Department of Economic Development and its provincial marketing agency – the Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA).
