Purpose
To facilitate research, statistical analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge management in the tourism sector at a national level.
Functions
Provide strategic direction and management of knowledge systems, databases and projects. Provide strategic direction in the execution and management of tourism research. Lead and facilitate the statistical analysis of tourism data and dissemination of tourism statistics. Provide strategic direction in monitoring and evaluation of tourism projects and programmes implemented by the department.
