Tourism Budget Vote 2019

The Minister of Tourism Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane and the Deputy Minister Fish Mahlalela will deliver the Tourism Budget Vote highlighting the vision and strategic focal points that will be implemented by the Department in the current financial year (2019/20), and the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).

Leading up to the Budget Vote, Minister Kubayi-Ngubane and Deputy Minister Mahlalela will take time to visit and interact with stakeholders and beneficiaries of the Department's programmes and initiatives.

Youth In Tourism Tour - A thriving and inclusive domestic tourism economy rests on the shoulders of an adequately capacitated and skilled workforce. Deputy Minister Mahlalela will visit tourism establishments in the Western Cape that have collaborated with the Department to provide training and employment opportunities for youth especially in sommelier training.

Handover of grading certificate to the Silo Hotel - Graded establishments assure tourists of a quality service and experience, whilst catapulting our country's competitiveness in the global tourism market. Minister Kubayi–Ngubane will visit The Silo Hotel to officially handover the establishment's newly acquired grading certificate.

Taking township tourism to new heights - South Africa's diverse cultures and myriad of tourism experiences makes it a preferred holiday destination for domestic and international tourists. Minister Kubayi–Ngubane will visit Langa township and engage the iKhaya Le Langa movement that is sustainably revamping the province's oldest township, and boosting tourism.
