Mr Marthinus van Schalkwyk, Minister of Tourism, will be opening the Local Government Tourism Conference hosted by the National Department of Tourism.  Themed, “Tourism Development: Why Local Government Matters”, the conference seeks to provide a platform for dialogue amongst public and private sector tourism stakeholders, including leadership to engage and share information on how to improve and grow this key economic sector.
