Deputy Minister Xasa to launch Kai Garib Caravan Park and engage with the local community on tourism issues
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Tokozile Xasa, will officially launch and handover a Caravan park to the Keimos Municipality, and engage with the local community on issues pertaining to tourism development and growth in the Northern Cape. 

The Department promotes the growth of tourism products through infrastructure developments under its Social Responsibility Implementation (SRI) projects that are funded under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

The Caravan Park is an SRI initiative that is set to boost tourism in the area. Its construction includes perimeter fencing; paved pedestrian walkway; ablution blocks; conference hall; reception, caretaker office and tuck shop; landscaping; water supply and reticulation; 36 parking bays; swimming pool and area lighting and recreation equipment.

It is envisaged that the Caravan Park will create employment opportunities, develop a vibrant, equitable and sustainable economy that will assist the local community to share in the benefits of tourism.
