Tourism Minister takes Domestic Travel Campaign to KwaZulu-Natal as festive season approaches

Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane is taking the domestic travel activation campaign to the KwaZulu-Natal Province from 09 to 10 December 2020.

This is the fifth-leg of this ongoing initiative since our government’s easing of lockdown restrictions and breathing life back to economic activities following months of inactivity. As we approach the festive season, Minister Kubayi-Ngubane will continue with her visits to various attractions and establishments, particularly in Eshowe with its abundant natural diversity, as part of a campaign to encourage people to explore their country while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols. The Minister will be joined by KwaZulu-Natal’s MEC for Economic Development Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Mr Ravi Pillay.

This campaign not only seeks to showcase some of the country’s hidden gems, but will further support the tourism sector’s revival following the devastating impact of the pandemic. As we embrace our new normal, we encourage all tourists to travel safely – wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and practice social distance.
