NORTH WEST - The Department of Tourism (DT), in collaboration with Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) and North West Tourism will host the 2018 National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) from 28 to 30 September 2018 at Sun City.
Since its inception in 2008, the North West Province will host the NTCE for the first time under the theme Tourism and Digital Transformation. More than 7000 learners from all over the country are expected to descend in the province for the three-day event.
Designed to bridge the information gap between the industry and learners, the NTCE provides a platform for the sector to create awareness about tourism careers and prospects, whilst offering the youth and unemployed graduates an opportunity to interact with potential employers.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms. Elizabeth Thabethe, along with MEC of Tourism in the North West Province Ms. Desbo Mohono and CATHSSETA Acting CEO Ms. Keitumetse Lebaka will engage media about the NTCE. The media event will culminate with an Imbizo with the local community.
