​Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane will host a Youth in Tourism Imbizo in Secunda, Mpumalanga on 17 April 2021.

The Imbizo in the Gert Sibande District Municipality will provide a platform for the Minister, the executives from the province to engage with the community on the initiatives and opportunities that exist in the Tourism sector for the youth, women, people with disabilities and SMMEs.

Attendance will be limited to 150 people comprised of youth, aspiring entrepreneurs, and women and will be conducted in strict adherence to COVID-19 health protocols. The Imbizo will be preceded by a career exhibition and a visit to a gender-based violence centre. This initiative will be supported by other spheres of government from provincial departments, legislature and local government institutions, tourism entities through the District Development Model (DDM).
