The Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Limpopo Chefs Academy will host a graduation ceremony to honour chefs from the Limpopo Province who successfully completed their formal culinary training under the Department's Recognition of Prior Learning Programme (RPL).  

Deputy Minister Fish Mahlalela will officiate the ceremony where thirty (30) chefs will receive Advanced Diplomas (NQF level 5) accredited by the Quality Council for Trade Occupations (QCTO).

The Department identified a need to implement the RPL programme to assist employed and unemployed chefs, who have a wealth of work experience, to gain a formal qualification in order to advance in their careers, and in the sector. ​
