Gauteng Province ready to host the 2023 National Tourism Career Expo (NTCE)

GAUTENG - The Department of Tourism (DT), in collaboration with the Culture Arts, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Education Training Authority (CATHSSETA), the Gauteng Department of Economic Development and its provincial marketing agency – the Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA), will host the 2023 National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) at the Joburg Expo Centre in Nasrec from 29 September to 01 October 2023.

Since its inception in 2008, the NTCE has bridged the information gap between the industry and learners, and offered youth an opportunity to directly interact with potential employers in the sector.

The 2023 youth expo will showcase a plethora of careers and business opportunities that exist in the sector. Themed, “Tourism Investments for People, Planet and Prosperity”, the event will highlight the significance of government and private sector investment in creating opportunities that empower communities, in a manner that conserves and sustains our environment, whilst driving innovation and prosperity or all.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Fish Mahlalela, along with the representatives from the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, and CATHSSETA will engage media about the significance of the NTCE in relation to youth empowerment and in advancing sector growth.
