As part of 16 Days of Activism against the abuse of women and children, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Fish Mahlalela will host a community engagement themed “Accelerating Youth and Women Economic Emancipation for a Sustainable Future” in the uPhongolo Local Municipality in the KwaZulu – Natal Province.

 

The engagement aims to empower women, youth and people living with disabilities with information on the opportunities that exist in the tourism sector. The event will also outline the Tourism Master Plan with the view to encourage active citizen participation in Department led programmes and initiatives. 

 

The community engagement is supported by the KwaZulu – Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, and the uPhongolo Local Municipality as the hosts under the Zululand District Municipality.
