The Deputy Minister of Tourism Hon. Ms. Maggie Sotyu will lead a Tourism Stakeholder Engagement in City of uMhlathuze Municipality. The event will offer the community an opportunity to converse with all three spheres of government to address the hurdles that are impeding progress and economic growth in various sectors of their communities.
The Stakeholder session will also share information on Government’s programmes and opportunities that serve to empower SMMEs, and create robust and sustainable local economies in the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
The Deputy Minister’s visit will include an oversight visit to Muzi Pan Canoeing Capital Project in uMkhanyakude District Municipality. This initiative is part of the department’s working for tourism programme that seeks to enhance the tourism offerings and visitor experience in the area.
