Deputy Minister Xasa to engage Eastern Cape communities on tourism issues during Imbizo Focus Week

Tourism Growth and Development will take centre stage when Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms Tokozile Xasa, engages stakeholders and local communities in the Eastern Cape under the theme “Together we move South Africa forward” during the National Imbizo Focus Week from 30 November to 04 December 2015.

The National Imbizo Focus Week provides a platform for political principals from all spheres of government to interact closely with communities, in an effort to assess the progress made on government’s priority programmes that are being implemented to boost  economic growth, create jobs and  to improve the quality of lives of all south Africans as espoused by the Nine-Point Plan.

Members of the media are invited to participate in the Imbizo Focus Week programme in the Eastern Cape as follows:

Day 1: 3 December 2015

Event:    Tourism Visitor Information Centre (Vic) Launch & Community Engagement

Day 2: 4 December 2015

Time:     08h15 for 08h30

Event:    Tourism Buddies Programme Graduation Ceremony (Skills Development) 
Venue:   Titi Jonas Multipurpose Centre, Port Alfred
Time:      09h30 for 10h00
