National Tourism Career Expo (NTCE) media launch and Imbizo
TOURISM MONTH - Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe will engage media about the upcoming National Tourism Career Expo (NTCE) that will take place in the Free State from 28 to 30 September 2017.

The NTCE is an initiative of the Department of Tourism in partnership with the Culture Arts, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Education Training Authority (CATHSSETA), and the Free State Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) as the host.

Designed to bridge the information gap between industry and learners, the NTCE provides a platform for the sector to create awareness about the tourism careers and opportunities that exist in the industry, whilst giving learners and unemployed graduates an opportunity to interact with potential employers.

More than 9000 learners from all over the country are expected to descend to Bloemfontein for the three day event. As the Free State Province’s tenure as host comes to an end, the 2017 NTCE is expected to be better and bigger than the previous year.

The Media launch will be followed by an Imbizo with the local community. The Imbizo aims to empower the community with information on the Youth Skills Development initiatives and entrepreneurial opportunities offered by the NTCE partners.
