The annual National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) returns to PACOFS, Sand Du Plessis, Bloemfontein on 28 to 30 September 2017. More than 10 000 learners, tourism students, graduates and educators will descend to the expo under the theme: “Tourism alive with Opportunities”.

The expo is an interactive opportunity between learners, tourism educators, tourism curricula experts and stakeholders to discuss diverse careers available in the sector. It is designed to empower thousands of learners across the country with information on tourism as a career choice through funding opportunities such as learnerships, internships, bursaries and life skills programmes.

The two-day event programme includes among others:
  • Presentations and motivational talks from South Africa's leading tourism entrepreneurs and personalities;
  • Exhibitions from Free State tourism product and related organisations; and
  • Platforms assisting youths and unemployed graduates to prepare for job applications.
The NTCE is a partnership of the Department of Tourism with the Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environment Affairs in the Free State (DESTEA) and the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sports Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA).
