This programme is based on training unemployed youth who have obtained a qualification in hospitality from a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET College). They will be trained in food safety quality assurance and will be placed in different hospitality establishments across the nine provinces for experiential learning. The duration of the training is 12 months.
Food Safety is a scientific discipline aimed at handling, preparing and storing food in ways that prevent foodborne illnesses. This includes a number of routines that should be followed to avoid potentially severe health hazards.

The objective of the internship programme is to train unemployed youth to enable them to acquire skills and gain work experience to enhance employability in the hospitality and tourism sector.
