World Heritage Sites DVD Production Workshop

 Background
 
The National Department of Tourism (NDT) is pleased to inform you of the latest developments regarding the implementation of the National Heritage and Cultural Tourism Strategy (2012), which your institution has been an integral part of its development through extensive stakeholder consultations. The Heritage and Cultural Tourism Strategy makes specific reference to the ‘Further development and promotion of the World Heritage Sites in South Africa’ as a key deliverable for implementation of the Strategy.

Objective of the World Heritage Sites DVD Production Workshop
 
Drawing from this background, the NDT jointly with the South African Tourism (SAT) have since hosted a successful Speed Marketing session at the previous Tourism Indaba (2012), where the World Heritage Sites in South Africa were afforded the opportunity to effectively  promote and market their product offerings to potential  buyers and investors, both locally and internationally.
 
As part of  enhancing the promotion and profiling of the World Heritage Sites as tourist attractions to both local and international markets, the NDT has recently commissioned the production of a DVD (audiovisual production) for the effective marketing and promotion of the World Heritage Sites in South Africa. It is in this regard that at this initial phase of the production of the DVD we invite you and your institution, to make inputs, at a Stakeholder Workshop scheduled for:
