The Tourism Research e-Library has been developed by the Department of Tourism (né DEAT) with the main objective of creating awareness and a platform for information sharing among different institutions and users on relevant tourism research information.

The key objectives of the Tourism Research e-Library are:

  1. To create awareness of tourism research reports and other related research information available;
  2. To make tourism research information easily accessible to users;
  3. To create platform for information sharing  (discussion forums, documents; storage, lessons learned, etc.) and thereby avoid duplication where possible;
  4. To inform users on new tourism research initiatives.

The e-library provides information on relevant tourism research already conducted by different institutions and reports are categorised by different topics. Several research reports are downloadable direct from the e-library and information on reports that are not available from this site could be accessed through links to sites of relevant sources. The e-library also provides users with information on new tourism research initiatives by different sources.

This site is still work in process and it is currently in the process of being updated. All researchers from different institutions (public, private and academic) are invited to submit information on new relevant tourism research initiatives or relevant research already conducted that they want users to have access to or be aware of.
