Tourism Transformation Summit


Dear Tourism Stakeholder,

The Tourism B-BBEE Charter Council (the Council) in partnership with the National Department of Tourism (NDT) invite you to attend and participate at the inaugural Tourism Transformation Summit, to be held on 30 and 31 October 2017 at Kopanong Hotel & Conference Centre in Gauteng Province.

The theme for the conference is "Tourism for all: Transform, Grow and Sustain".

The 2-day summit is an apex gathering of diverse tourism players from big to small businesses in South Africa. The aim is to dialogue and exchange tourism sector transformation strategies and investment opportunities towards radically improving black and women participation across the value chain with industry growth and sustainability. 

The conference will feature high profile speakers and facilitated panel discussion on topics including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Key Note Address by Minister of Tourism;
  • The State of Transformation in the Tourism Sector;
  • Tourism Value Chain and Opportunities for Transformation;
  • Enterprise Development Case Studies with strong transformation impact;
  • New Investments and partnership opportunities;
  • Financing Tourism for Growth;
  • The launch of Tourism Transformation Fund & Portal.

Interactive workshops will be conducted to empower and provide participants with an opportunity to learn from one another on how to implement the Tourism B-BBEE empowerment Codes seamlessly.
