As part of “Take a Girl Child to Work Day’” campaign - the Department of Tourism will host thirty (30) school learners, who are under the care of Tshwane Child Welfare, to attend a career expo at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton.
The “Take a Girl Child to Work Day’” campaign is a CELL C initiative that provides an opportunity for girls to visit and experience first-hand the “World of work”. The theme for this year is: “Dream Believe Achieve”.
This year, the Department has partnered with the Hilton Hotel and will host the 30 girls at Hilton’s annual career expo that showcases tourism and hospitality careers and opportunities. Minister Tokozile Xasa, and Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe will attend the Expo. One of the learners will be hosted by the Minister for the day.
