Deputy Minister of Tourism in her private capacity, to adopt the Kgosi Mampuru ll Correctional Management Area

In celebration of Women's month, Tokozile Xasa the Deputy Minister of Tourism will, in her private capacity, adopt the Kgosi Mampuru ll Correctional Management Area with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Applications Centre.

The National Applications Centre is a youth-led NGO aimed at facilitating the implementation of programmes in respect of Youth in Conflict with the Law amongst others.

The adoption of the facility, done in collaboration with the Department of Correctional Services, was inspired by Deputy Minister Xasa's passion for the empowerment and upliftment of women and Youth - in this case female offenders.

The MoU outlines the areas of intervention as identified by the Deputy Minister following official visits to the correctional centre and these include, but are not limited to skills development, hospitality, library and workshops.

The signing, to which members of the media are invited, will take place as follows:
